Is it really pure copper?

Yes, it's made from 100% pure copper, not copper-coated steel. You can check yourself: a magnet won't stick to it, and the inside will slowly darken with use, which only real copper does.

Is the inside coated or lacquered?

No. The inside is bare copper, so your water is in direct contact with the metal, which is the whole point of a copper bottle.

Will it leak in my bag?

No. The screw cap has a silicone seal and stays tight when the bottle lies flat. Close it firmly after filling.

How much does it hold?

About 950 ml, enough for your morning water and the first part of the day.

How long should water stay in it?

The traditional way is to fill it at night and drink it in the morning, about 6–8 hours. Refill it with fresh water each day rather than storing water for days.

Can I add lemon, jeera water or hot water?

No. Use it for plain water at room temperature only. Acidic drinks like lemon or jeera water, and hot water, make copper react more. Use a steel or glass bottle for those.

Why has the inside turned dark or green? Is it safe?

Darkening is natural oxidation and a sign of real copper. Clean the inside regularly. If you see green spots, clean them before the next use.

Is a copper bottle right for everyone?

For most healthy adults, a glass or two of copper-stored water a day is a traditional practice. People with Wilson's disease, or liver or kidney conditions, should check with their doctor first.

How do I clean the inside?

Once a week, add a spoon of salt and the juice of half a lemon with a little warm water, shake for a minute, rinse well, and leave it open and upside down to dry. It isn't dishwasher safe, so always wash it by hand.
